Winner of Design Competition to be Announced - 15 December 2008
The winning entry to the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project Design Competition will be announced in Canberra on Friday 19th December. Details of the design concept, recommended by the APMP Design Competition Jury from the four Stage 2 designs was endorsed by the Canberra National Memorials Committee on 24th November and will be released on this website's Design Page on Friday afternoon.
The announcement of the winner will be made by the Minister for Veterans' Affairs, the Hon Alan Griffin, at Parliament House at about 11:30 AM on Friday. A model and drawings of the winning design concept will be presented during the announcement.
All APMP members, Peacekeeping Veterans, supporters and interested parties are invited to attend the Announcement.
