ANZ Banking becomes a Partner of Peacekeeping - 7 December 2008

ANZ Banking

The Australian and New Zealand Banking Group has demonstrated its commitment to the country’s police, military and civilian peacekeepers with a significant donation of $27,500 to the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project. This is the first donation by the Australian banking community to the project.

In thanking the ANZ Bank, the Chairman of the APMP Major General Tim Ford, AO (Retd) noted that Australian banks have been able to significantly expand their operations in the Asia Pacific region in recent years, and had benefited by the stability that Australian Peacekeepers and their partners had maintained in the region. He said that this donation by one of the major Australian banks was greatly appreciated by Australian peacekeepers, past and present.

This support by ANZ to the APMP is greatly appreciated by all Australian Peacekeeping veterans and all associated with the project.
