Respects given at the Memorial site - 14 September 2008

To mark the 61st anniversary of Australia's involvement in Peacekeeping and Peacemaking Operations, members of the APMP Committee gave their respects to former and current Peacekeepers at the location where the Memorial is to be constructed.

APMP Vice Chair Matt Burke, OAM; APMP Chairman, Tim Ford, AO and APPVA President, Paul Copeland, OAM, paying their respects on the 61st anniversary of Australia's involvement in Peacekeeping Operations at the site dedicated for the Peacekeeping Memorial.

In addition to the paying of respect, Paul Copeland presented a $500 cheque towards the Memorial on behalf of the Barwon Heads RSL Sub-Branch (Vic). Finally, Tim Ford presented a Friends of Peacekeeping certificate for contributions made to date towards the construction of the Memorial to Paul Copeland, on behalf of the APPVA.
