PDL Toll Champion of Peacekeeping for the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial - 13 November 2007

PDL Toll

Following the announcement at the Governor General’s Reception, PDL Toll has now donated $200,000 to the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project. With this contribution, PDL Toll became the first Australian company to achieve “Champion of Peacekeeping” status as a Tier 1 donor to the construction of an Australian Peacekeeping Memorial on ANZAC Parade in Canberra. This donation, along with the $200, 000, provided earlier by the Department of Veterans affairs, ensures that the initial design and development stages of the APMP can proceed.

In response to this donation, the Chairman of the APMP, Major General (Retired) Tim Ford expressed “ the sincere appreciation of all associated with the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project for the generous donation of $200,000 that has been made by PDL Toll to construct the Memorial” He noted that “the positive and early response taken by PDL Toll to support and promote this important national project should be an example to other Australian Companies who had close links with the Australian Defence Force and Australian police forces and had been partners in support of Australian peacekeeping operations or benefited from the security provided in the Region by these operations”.
