Gary Brodie, OAM, RSL Representative

Gary Brodie is the Representative for the RSL on the APMP Committee. He is a Retired Detective Senior Sergeant of Police (AFP) with 33 years of service, including being a uniformed member, detective, instructor, and for 11 years as the OIC of the Bomb Squad providing a counter and anti-terrorist bomb response capability. During his police service he served in the United Nations Forces in CYPRUS (13th Contingent –AUSTCIVPOL – UNFICYP). Gary also served in the Australian Army Citizen Military Forces from 1962 to 1966 with an Infantry Company and 1 Commando Company in Sydney.

Since 1995, Gary has been actively involved in the RSL as a member and as the President of the RSL ACT Peacekeepers’ Sub Branch. He has held a wide range of RSL positions including as the ACT RSL State President.
