Graham Rayner, Admin Co-Ordinator
|
Graham has recently retired from the Australian Public Service after serving in the Department of Defence for 38 years, mainly in the field of the acquisition of major military systems. Graham has volunteered to assist the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project Committee as Administration Co-ordinator. Although he has had no direct involvement in peacekeeping activities, Graham believes in the goal of the committee to create a national memorial to recognise the service and sacrifice that Australian men and women have made, are making and will continue to make in the future pursuing international peace on behalf of all Australians. Graham is a naval architect by profession and has spent the majority of his career in project management, for which he has been recognised as a Master Project Director by the Institute of Project Management. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and of the Australian College of Defence and Strategic Studies. His penultimate post in the Department of Defence was as head of the European office of the Defence Materiel Organisation. He now works part-time as a tutor in government procurement, and as a consultant to industry on defence procurement and project management. |
