Philip Mark Southam J.P. CPA B.Bus (Accountancy), Treasurer

Phil Southam

Major Phil Southam has almost 30 years experience as an accountant in state-government, commercial and not-for-profit sectors. He has been an active Reservist since 1998 and has had postings to Army Financial Services Unit Central Region Detachment (AFSU CR Det) including three years as Officer Commanding and Headquarters 9th Brigade in Adelaide. Phil is currently posted to the Headquarters of AFSU in Canberra as part of the Head of Corps staff (Royal Australian Army Pay Corps). His current civilian role is in the APS with Career Management – Army in Canberra.

Phil served with the Peace Monitoring Group (PMG) in Bougainville in 2001 and with United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) and United Nations Mission of Support in East Timor (UNMISET) in East Timor in 2002. Phil is a member of the SA Peacekeepers Sub-Branch of the RSL.
